Getting the noticeboard ready

We are just about ready with our new noticeboard for outside the caravan it has been a team effort, Barney reconstructed some old shelves donated from our friend maddie (now in Uganda) and Sophie has given them a few coats of paint. We are going to have as much useful info in it as we can fit, bus times, local activities, things for sale, campsite shop opening times, any other ideas welcome.it's the blues festival in hebden bridge this weekend so we are preparing ourselves for a busy one, the fox and goose pub in hebden has a beer fest on too, so good times I think. Hope the weather is kind for hopefully another great bank holiday:)

Bank Holiday Busy Busy

Well the bank holiday bonanza is nearly over and we've had a great weekend lots of lovely campers, friends and family bussling around. Me and Sophie are both going to sleep well tonight:) I took a stroll to land farm which is just a 20 minute walk from the site it has lovely scultpures and sheltered little spaces next to a stream with a beautiful view of fields and lambs, we had a cup of tea and home made scones, Barney even had a little nap next to the water. Amazingly secluded spot away from the wind which has been howling for a couple of days. I would recommend having a little mossie to the farm for a relaxing brew.I feel rechargeed and ready for more campsite fun and frolicks..

The bunny came to blackshaw.

The Easter bunny came along to a sunny blackshaw head on Easter Sunday, lots of egg hunters and prize winners. A good day was had by all.we've been very busy on site even in the week we've had plenty of visitors. This weekend has been great weather again, I worked in the pub last night and there was a really nice vibe and mix of campers and locals. Served a few pints of local bitter and hired out some fire pits. It looked lively on site when I came out at about half 11 the stars were twinkling, a few fires burning just how I imagined it would look when we started this whole idea.
